Have you ever wondered what it’s like for pets to have a fun and productive day? If they had to plan out their day like their hoomans, it must be so nice to just stay at home all comfy, with no job to think of– just treats and belly rubs. Want to know what a typical day looks like as a pet? Here’s a day in the life of a happy and healthy furbaby!

Morning Routine

Go for a morning walk.

Must-haves: a sturdy leash/harness, collar, poop bag, and diaper (optional)

Like their owners, pets also need regular exercise to stay fit and healthy. Walking your pets for at least 30 minutes a day can help them maintain a healthy weight, practice obedience commands, and improve their mental stimulation in their surroundings. When going out for walks, ensure your pets are secured with a collar and leash at all times. Also, don’t forget to bring a poop bag– clean up after your pets!

Have a filling breakfast.

After the morning walk, it’s time for breakfast! Feed your dogs and cats with nutritious food so they are always well-nourished. Some owners prefer to buy canned pet food, while others like to DIY their fur babies’ organic meals. Make sure that you’re feeding your pets just the right amount or better yet, consult your trusted veterinarian so they can recommend a diet plan for your furbabies.

Take a bath or head to the grooming salon.

Must-haves: shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and towel

Bathing your pets is a must, but did you know that it’s not advisable to do it daily? Bathing them more often than usual can cause skin or fur problems. The best way to keep them clean is by wiping their snout, paws, and bottom, especially after pooping. Don’t forget to brush their teeth and hair too. At least once a month, send your pets to a professional pet groomer for a proper nail trim, de-matting, or ear cleaning.

Once you finish the whole morning routine, pets need to doze off. Dogs can sleep up to 18 hours a day so ensure they get to rest well. Keep them nice and comfy in a crate or a bed without interruption. Dogs have a different sleep cycle than humans, therefore they need more time to sleep. After a fun-filled day with this routine, your pets deserve a good night’s sleep to complete their normal sleep cycle. So that when they wake up in the morning, they’re energized and ready to start their day right, making them wag their tails in excitement.
