SM Store Celebrates Women’s Month with Shop & Share Campaign to Empower Young Girls

MANILA, Philippines. Menstrual health remains a serious yet taboo topic in our society. In fact, a UN Women study reveals the impact of limited access to menstrual products on women and girls, affecting school attendance and performance. To address this, SM Store will launch the Shop&Share for Women campaign in March, aiming to provide access to complete and proper menstrual hygiene kits to those in need.
Shop&Share for Women empowers young Filipinas to live with confidence towards a brighter future
From March 1 to March 8, 2024, shoppers at any SM Store can contribute to this meaningful cause through the purchase of a curated Hygiene Kit for only P99.00, for every minimum single receipt spent of P2,000. The kit includes essential items such as a bottle of feminine wash, sanitary pads, and panty liners, ensuring that young girls receive the ample resources to deal with their monthly periods.
The donated Hygiene Kits will be distributed to UN Women partner NGOs, select partner high schools through SM Foundation Inc., and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines. By providing adolescent women access to these essential hygiene kits, SM Store aims to empower them to comfortably and confidently navigate their menstrual health. This initiative will enable them to pursue their education without interruptions and engage in daily activities without limitations during their periods. SM Store invites all shoppers to be part of this impactful campaign.
